Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Air Force requirements. You will work with engineering and business development to support field trials, demonstrations, and battlefield-ready networking solutions across airborne and ground environments.

The role requires 2–5 years in relevant tech or defense roles, familiarity with SDRs, IP routing, Linux, Python or C++, and the ability to obtain SECRET

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, and tactical comms is required.
• Ability to obtain US Security Clearance within 15 months.

Responsibilities

• Support field tests, demos, and network configurations for Air Force programs.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure technically sound architectures.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and testing plans.
• Engage with Air Force stakeholders and understand procurement pathways.
• Travel up to 50% for customer sites and lab demonstrations.
