Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. You will join a delivery team, partnering with a Deployment Strategist to go live in production from day one.

You’ll work across AI-powered development, data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks, and ship end-to-end components with rigorous testing and customer collaboration. Travel around 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience.
• Proven experience delivering customer-facing projects in Public Sector, Higher Education, or Nonprofit environments.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Able to work with sales teams and customer architects.
• Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
• Willing to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise customer environments.
• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations.
• Define prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
• Own end-to-end components from architecture to deployment and observability.
• Build data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer platforms.
• Create and maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs moving to deployable in days.
• Co-build with customers and partners, sharing best practices.
• Surface platform gaps and field insights to engineers and product teams.
• Translate customer challenges into agentic solutions with Deployment Strategist.
