Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise customer environments. You’ll work with a Deployment Strategist to co-build solutions that go live from day one.

You will develop AI agents, design prompts and integrations, own end-to-end components, and build data pipelines across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks. Travel ~25% to work directly with customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years (6–10 for Senior) of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience required.
• Proven experience in Public Sector, Higher Education, or Nonprofit environments.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex and willing to expand.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations.
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to deployment and observability.
• Build data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs deployable in days.
• Co-build alongside customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement.
• Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior Engineers and product teams.
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into agentic solutions.
