Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy AI solutions inside enterprise environments. You will work with a Deployment Strategist to co-build production-ready solutions from day one.

Role involves developing AI agents, data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, and end-to-end ownership from architecture to observability. Expect 25% travel and collaboration with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or related field required.
• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
• At least one production system you can walk us through.
• Customer-facing delivery experience required, with public sector or higher education exposure.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex; willingness to expand.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Able to work with sales teams and customer architects.
• Willing to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic AI solutions inside enterprise environments.
• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for organizations.
• Design prompts, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
• Own end-to-end components from architecture to deployment and observability.
• Build data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Create dashboards and KPI reporting for agent performance.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to share best practices.
