Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking an AI Sales Engineer to drive pre-sales for AI security solutions.

You will partner with the AI Sales Specialist to shape GTM strategy, enable regional SEs, and lead technical engagements from discovery to POC. You will deploy and demonstrate Fortinet's AI security platforms in customer environments, train partners, and build trusted executive relationships with CTOs, CISOs, and AI leaders, traveling up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, data science, information systems, or related technical field.
5+ years of technical sales experience, with at least 2 years in AI or related technologies.
Experience engaging with technical evaluators (cloud/AI security engineers, data scientists, AI/ML architects).
Understanding of core AI technologies (machine learning, deep learning, generative AI).
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes; cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Understanding of AI security concepts (identity management, access controls, network integration, EDR, guardrails).
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with agentic AI tools and their security implications preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Shape and execute GTM strategy for AI Security solutions regionally.
Enable and train regional Sales Engineers on product capabilities and live demos.
Provide support for technical discovery, architecture deep dives, and POCs.
Assist customers with deployment of AI Security solutions in self-hosted environments.
Maintain and manage demo environments, certifications, training materials, and benchmarking.
Engage channel and reseller partners to close AI Security opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and close AI Security opportunities.
Lead customer engagements: architecture reviews, evaluations, product demonstrations, and training.
Facilitate post-sales handovers for deployments and customer success.
Cultivate relationships with CTOs, CISOs, and enterprise AI leaders.
Educate customers on agentic AI best practices and Fortinet leadership in AI security.
