Job summary

Mews is seeking a PayOps Analyst to be the operational heartbeat of our Payment Operations. You’ll monitor payout timeliness, manage incidents end to end, and provide analytics that keep merchants paid accurately and on time.

This is an active, AI-enabled role built for a fast-paced, scalable operation. You’ll coordinate with Support, Product, FinTech R&D, and PSPs, produce weekly KPI reports, maintain runbooks, and drive data quality during incidents.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in payments, operations, or fintech.
• Strong understanding of PSPs (Stripe/Adyen) and payout flows.
• Proven analytical, data-driven approach to incidents.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack and dashboards.
• AI fluency: use tools like Claude to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payout timeliness, authorisation success rates, SLA breaches, and fee accuracy across PSPs.
• Log and manage incidents in the Jira Service Portal with clear ownership.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring failures and feed insights to PayOps Manager.
• Support operational readiness checklists for onboarding, launches, and market entries.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, FinTech R&D, and PSPs to resolve escalations.
• Prepare weekly KPI reporting and monthly performance summaries.
• Maintain the runbook library and flag recurring incidents in the risk register.
• Draft first-line merchant communications for outages with final approval from PayOps Manager.
• Validate data quality during incidents and distinguish PSP/system issues from lag.
