Job summary

Mews is seeking a PayOps Analyst to act as the operational heartbeat of its Payment Operations. You will monitor payout timeliness, manage incidents end-to-end, and provide insights to ensure merchants are paid accurately and on time.

This role emphasizes proactive improvement of processes, escalation handling, and leveraging AI tools like Claude to streamline tasks, with collaboration across Support, Product, and FinTech teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in payments, operations, or fintech.
• Hands-on PSP experience with Stripe or Adyen.
• Strong understanding of card acquiring, payout processes and authorisation flows.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven incident investigation.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack and dashboards; familiarity with Power BI or Databricks.
• AI fluency: actively using Claude and providing clear context in work.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payout timeliness, authorisation success rates, SLA breaches, and fee accuracy across PSPs.
• Log and manage incidents in Jira Service Portal with clear ownership and SLA tracking.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring failures and feed insights to PayOps Manager.
• Support operational readiness for PSP onboarding, new markets, and feature launches.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, FinTech R&D, FinCrime, and PSPs to resolve escalations.
