Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for its AI Platform Engineering group. This player-coach role oversees the infrastructure and cloud-native platform layers of EY’s AI runtime, spanning bare-metal to Kubernetes, multi-tenant scaling, and secure inference across cloud, on‑prem, edge, client-managed, and air‑gapped targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Experience with Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS/AKS/GKE, K3s) and full lifecycle management.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and cross-environment replication.
• Proven track record owning an infrastructure roadmap and architecture end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team: set priorities, mentor engineers, and raise technical depth.
• Build hands-on as an IC: design and debug the hardest platform components (cluster bring-up, GPU enablement, multi-tenancy).
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap: phase work and report progress to senior leadership.
• Own infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform: Kubernetes, scheduling, multi-tenancy, and patching.
• Stand up and operate EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped modes.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing with CUDA, Ray Serve, vLLM, Triton, and Envoy AI Gateway.
• Own operational excellence, SLOs, incident response, DR, and CI/CD with GitOps.
• Manage GPU capacity, platform economics, and vendor relationships.
