Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for its AI Platform Engineering group. The role directs the infrastructure and cloud-native platform layers powering EY’s AI runtime, spanning bare-metal to Kubernetes, multi-tenant scaling, and secure inference.

As a player-coach, you will both guide the team’s roadmap and personally design and troubleshoot the most critical components. You’ll balance executive-facing delivery with hands-on engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining an active hands-on contributor.
• Track record of owning a platform or infrastructure roadmap end to end.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle management in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team: direct day-to-day and long-term work; hire, mentor, and coach engineers; set standards.
• Build hands-on as a senior individual contributor: design, implement, and debug core platform components.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap: define phased capabilities and report progress to leadership.
• Own the infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform: manage compute, Kubernetes, scheduling, and multi-tenancy as a production-ready substrate.
• Stand up and operate EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing: manage model serving and semantic routing.
• Own operational excellence, resilience, and platform delivery: define SLOs, incident management, DR, and CI/CD integration.
• Own GPU capacity, platform economics, and vendor selection: forecast demand and manage budgets.
