Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for our AI Platform Engineering group to direct the infrastructure and cloud-native platform layers powering EY’s AI runtime across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets.

This player-coach role combines strategic roadmap ownership with hands-on design, build, and troubleshooting of the most critical platform components, including multi-tenancy, GPU enablement, and secure inference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining an active hands-on contributor.
• Track record of owning a platform or infrastructure roadmap and architecture end to end, from requirements and estimation through phased delivery and steady-state operations.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle management at production scale.
• Deep experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid, on-prem, and air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong grounding in cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Hands-on experience with GPU infrastructure and AI inference serving.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team: direct day-to-day and long-term work, hire, mentor, and coach engineers, establish standards.
• Build hands-on as a senior individual contributor: design, implement, and debug core platform components.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap and define entry/exit gates for phased delivery.
• Own the infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform across compute, Kubernetes, and cluster fabric.
• Stand up and operate EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped deployment modes.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing for model serving with sandboxed execution and semantic routing.
• Own operational excellence, resilience, SLOs, incident reviews, backup, DR, and CI/CD collaboration.
• Own GPU capacity, platform economics, vendor relations, and long-term hardware planning.
