Job summary

EY is seeking a senior leader for its AI Platform Engineering group. You will steer the infrastructure and cloud-native platform for EY’s AI runtime across cloud, on-prem, edge, client-managed, and air-gapped targets.

This player-coach role blends hands-on design and strategic leadership, ensuring reliability, portability, and scalable platform delivery. You will direct a team of AI Infrastructure and AI Systems Engineers, set phased roadmaps, define gates, and report risks to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years building or operating enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years leading or directing engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Track record of owning platform or infrastructure roadmap and end-to-end architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle at production scale.
• Deep experience with bare-metal, cloud, hybrid, on-prem, and air-gapped deployment models.
• Strong understanding of cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and AI inference serving.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps tooling.
• Experience with disaster recovery and cross-environment replication.
• Proven ability to operate production infrastructure under compliance and security constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AI Platform Infrastructure Engineering team, set priorities, hire and coach engineers.
• Build hands-on as a senior contributor, design and debug the hardest platform components.
• Own the infrastructure delivery roadmap with phased capability releases and gates.
• Own the infrastructure foundation and cloud-native platform across compute, Kubernetes, and scheduling.
• Stand up and operate EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped modes.
• Own secure execution, inference, and routing with technologies like Ray Serve, vLLM, Triton, and Envoy Gateway.
• Own operational excellence, SLOs, incident management, DR, backup, and cross-environment replication; partner on CI/CD and GitOps.
• Own GPU capacity, platform economics, vendor selection; evaluate commercial vs open-source options.
