Job summary

GitLab is seeking an experienced HRIS Product Owner to lead Workday across HCM, compensation, and benefits, while integrating the broader People tech ecosystem. The role focuses on scoping root needs, designing durable solutions, and ensuring secure governance in a public company setting.

You will drive reporting, analytics, and data-driven decisions, partnering with stakeholders to scale People operations and enable a proactive, AI-enabled workflow culture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Workday experience across HCM, compensation, benefits, time tracking, talent, performance, and security.
• AI-forward approach to automate workflows and accelerate analysis.
• Experience building and scaling people technology in a public company with SOX ITGC.
• Product ownership mindset with strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the HRIS product roadmap and drive system evolution.
• Diagnose root needs and co-design durable solutions.
• Lead Workday configuration, release readiness, and testing for annual programs.
• Build and govern integrations across the People tech ecosystem.
• Define and enforce security and access governance.
• Create reports and dashboards for data-driven decisions.
• Drive mass data changes with testing and accuracy.
• Elevate system capability enabling self-sufficient users.
