Job summary

GitLab is seeking an experienced People Technology specialist to manage HR systems, security, and governance in a fast-growing, all-remote environment. You will work with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and business partners to ensure data integrity, SOX controls, and effective reporting.

You’ll configure and test changes, streamline processes with AI, and provide training to teams. A strong focus on documentation, confidentiality, and enterprise-scale programs is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR technology, including Workday configuration, testing or support.
• Exposure to SOX ITGC controls, audit evidence and change management.
• A curious, problem-solving mindset with data-driven analysis.
• AI-enabled work approach to automate tasks and speed up analysis.
• Ability to document findings clearly and handle confidential information.
• Ownership mindset with proactive collaboration and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring processes, monitor system health, and serve as a go-to for teams.
• Administer system security, roles, and conduct regular audits.
• Configure, test, and deploy day-to-day changes and quarterly/annual updates.
• Write and run tests; document configurations, processes, and schedules.
• Prepare SOX ITGC audit evidence and internal controls documentation.
• Build reports and dashboards; use data to identify friction and drive changes.
• Provide training and enablement; apply AI to automate tasks and speed up analysis.
• Support senior team members on cross-team projects and deliver quality results.
