Job summary

Cayenta, a division of Harris, seeks a Consulting Manager to lead CIS software implementations and professional services from inception through go-live and stabilization.

You will manage a team of Application Consultants delivering utility and municipal CIS projects, drive delivery methodology, ensure projects are on time, in scope, and within budget, and maintain high client satisfaction across the utility/municipal client base. Remote role across US/Canada with travel when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in professional services or consulting, ideally utility/municipal CIS implementations.
• 4+ years in senior/managing consultant roles with multiple CIS projects or 2+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects for utility/municipal clients.
• Knowledge of utility lifecycle (meter-to-cash) and/or public sector environments.
• Financial acumen: manage P&L, budgets, utilization, and scope control.
• Methods & tools: Agile/Waterfall/hybrid; Jira, CayStone/SpiraTest, ServiceNow, Power BI, Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to manage executive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach AppCons and project resources across consulting tiers to meet objectives.
• Provide solution oversight across multiple CIS implementations and mentor consultants in the portfolio.
• Allocate resources across engagements, balance utilization, and prevent burnout during peak periods.
• Foster an agile, accountable team culture focused on problem-solving and career growth.
• Assist functional managers with performance evaluations and formal feedback.
• Monitor team performance with metrics and report to senior management.
• Drive standard delivery frameworks and lead complex or greenfield CIS solutions and integrations.
• Review solution architecture for CIS configuration, integrations, and data conversion.
• Influence internal and client resources when difficult decisions arise.
• Lead client workshops and gather requirements for configuration or customization.
• Partner across departments to ensure smooth handoffs and post-go-live transitions.
• Conduct post-implementation retrospectives and coordinate handoffs per Cayenta methodology.
• Champion AI-assisted tools to streamline admin tasks and improve delivery efficiency.
