Job summary

Smoothie King is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Houston to help the GM lead a team in delivering an exceptional guest experience and upholding our brand standards. You will model our mission and values while overseeing daily store operations and staff development.

In this role you will manage cash and safety procedures, support local marketing, monitor KPIs, and drive programs to ensure cleanliness and high service levels across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years as a shift lead in a restaurant or retail/service setting.
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic POS and computer functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and the community.
• Ability to work hours needed to run the store, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM with hiring, developing, and leading the team to deliver a great guest experience.
• Use P&L, Daily Business Review, Cash & Deposit Log, and Data Central for scheduling and inventory management.
• Develop local store marketing plans and community outreach.
• Collaborate with GM to deliver smoothies and healthy products; review KPIs and address opportunities.
• Manage cash activities for the store (daily deposits).
• Ensure food safety guidelines are followed by store and team members.
• Champion and embody company culture, mission, and core values.
• Ensure store cleanliness and upkeep; coordinate equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Drive company programs through action planning and team motivation to meet standards.
• Communicate marketing strategies and promotions in-store to ensure proper execution.
