Butler Machinery Company in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Ag Service Department. You will manage job progress, resolve disputes, supervise staff, and schedule the service team to deliver superior customer service and efficiency.

The role requires coordinating with customers and manufacturers, preparing repair estimates, and driving safety and quality in the service area. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience with relevant product lines.
• Lead Yourself training is preferred for internal candidates.
• Two-year degree or equivalent experience and training preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience or Service Management Training preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Computer knowledge.
• Must have strong leadership, detail and organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
• Clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee service job progress and warranty issues.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Oversee scheduling to optimize space and service efficiency.
• Supervise service staff including performance reviews and training.
• Develop business plans including staffing, tooling, and service promotions.
• Monitor KPIs and adjust plans accordingly.
• Handle goodwill claims documentation and manufacturer resolutions.
• Ensure safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Provide timely customer repair estimates and follow-up.
