The role requires managing budgets, coordinating technician workloads, and developing staff. Strong leadership and a focus on safety, training, and regulatory compliance are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a dealer service department.
• Experience with Service ADVISOR or similar diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Experience with heavy equipment (ag, construction, etc.) preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce service department processes to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Own department performance, budgets, and goals aligned with company objectives.
• Execute service marketing plans and coordinate customer events, clinics, and field days.
• Oversee warranty and product program claims to maximize recovery.
• Schedule, assign, and manage workloads based on technician skills and capacity.
• Review work orders for accuracy, billing, and completeness.
• Train and develop service personnel; ensure training compliance and certifications.
• Manage fleet, tools, equipment, inventory, and shop organization.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Stay current on John Deere and competitive products.
