Butler Machinery is seeking an Oil and Gas Service Manager for the Bismarck, Dickinson, or Minot area. The role leads regional service operations, oversees scheduling, customer relations, and staff performance to grow Oil & Gas and Electric Power Generation business.

Responsibilities include managing personnel, developing business plans, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring timely, accurate repairs and quotes. A family business with extensive ND/Montana coverage offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience with large bore diesel and natural gas engines in Oil & Gas or Electric Power Generation.
• Two-year degree or equivalent experience and training preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience or Service Management Training preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage service department personnel and job progress.
• Schedule service work and optimize customer service in the region.
• Oversee staff performance, training needs, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop business plans and goals for staffing, tools, and service promotions for Oil & Gas and EPG customers.
• Monitor KPIs and adjust plans and procedures accordingly.
• Handle goodwill claims with manufacturers and document resolutions.
• Hire personnel for the service department and review work orders for timeliness and accuracy.
