Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking an After School Group Leader to supervise and support students in a safe, inclusive environment, providing academic help and organizing engaging activities. This role emphasizes positive youth development and collaboration with staff to deliver high-quality afterschool programming.

The position starts with daily attendance and program documentation duties, with a focus on safety, relationship-building, and effective communication with program leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
• Provide homework assistance and encourage positive study habits.
• Plan and facilitate engaging educational, recreational, and enrichment activities.
• Model respectful behavior and reinforce program expectations.
• Safely supervise and support transitions between activities to maintain engagement.
