Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking an After School Group Leader in the Youth Education Services Department to supervise students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade, provide academic support, and facilitate engaging activities. This role emphasizes creating a safe, inclusive learning environment and building positive relationships to promote youth development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Spanish-speaking candidates are highly recommended.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday during the program schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade in a safe, inclusive program.
• Provide homework assistance and support students' academic success.
• Plan and facilitate engaging educational, recreational, and enrichment activities.
• Model respectful behavior and implement positive behavior management.
• Safely supervise student transitions between activities and maintain engagement.
