Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking a Group Leader to help run high-quality afterschool programming, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for youth. You will work with program leadership and staff to supervise participants, implement activities, and support daily operations in alignment with agency standards.

The role emphasizes positive youth development, teamwork, and reliability, with weekly hours typically from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• HS diploma or equivalent OR 1 year of experience with children under 13.
• Staff must be at least 18 to supervise independently.
• Must complete required background clearances and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participants during program hours and events.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Support positive youth development using restorative practices.
• Assist with activity setup, materials, and homework help.
• Support attendance procedures and program documentation.
• Travel between program sites may be required.
