Job summary

Commonpoint is seeking a Youth Worker to support afterschool programming, helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for youth. You will supervise participants, assist with activity setup, and support daily program operations under the Program Director.

This part-time role requires reliable teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to work after school hours, with occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent OR at least one year of experience with children under 13.
• Staff must be at least 18 years old to supervise independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth and work with staff.
• Complete all required background clearances and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Support daily implementation of afterschool programming and activities.
• Supervise participants during program hours and events.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
• Support with program operations, attendance, and documentation.
• Collaborate with supervisors and cross-team staff to ensure smooth operations.
