Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a housing community on-site. You will manage personnel, leasing, maintenance, and financial activities while ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

The role emphasizes leadership, resident satisfaction, and adherence to budgetary plans, with preferred experience in affordable housing programs and related certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management and staffing of on-site team.
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; ensure staff training and discipline per policy.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts and manage financial performance.
• Monitor rent collections, deposits, and vendor invoices for timely processing.
• Develop marketing plans and leasing strategies; drive resident recruitment and retention.
• Address resident concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
