Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids is offering a full-time, onsite engineering co-op from May/June through December. You will help design and develop displays for commercial and military avionics, merging classroom concepts with hands-on engineering practice.

The role emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and applying design principles to real products, with exposure to optics and aerospace industry standards. You must be pursuing an engineering degree and have at least 60 credit hours.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience working on collaborative projects and teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel)

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session from May/June to December.
• Merge theoretical knowledge with practical engineering applications in display design for avionics.
• Work with an outstanding team of engineers on displays for commercial and military avionics.
• Create and/or implement changes to product design or development processes.
