Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a motivated Engineering Co-op for a full-time, onsite program running June–December. You will merge classroom theory with hands-on engineering on display projects for avionics, learning from a team of experienced engineers.

Students should be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, have at least 60 credit hours, and be comfortable with C++ or Python and Office tools.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering and enrolled through the internship.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship.
• Experience working on collaborative projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time co-op session from June to December.
• Assist with design and development of displays for avionics.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement design changes.
• Tackle challenges and apply problem-solving skills in a hands-on environment.
• Create and/or implement changes to product design or development processes.
