Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids is offering a full-time engineering co-op internship running May through December, onsite. You will merge classroom theory with practical engineering to develop displays for commercial and military avionics, collaborating with a team of engineers on real-world projects.

Applicants must be pursuing an engineering degree and have at least 60 credit hours. Familiarity with C++ or Python and Microsoft Excel is preferred, with opportunities to learn optics and

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience working on collaborative projects and teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Immerse in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session May/June – December.
• Merge theoretical knowledge with practical engineering applications in displays for avionics.
• Work with engineers to develop displays for commercial and military avionics applications.
• Tackle challenges and apply problem-solving in a hands-on environment.
• Create and/or implement changes to product design or development processes.
