Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking an engineering co-op in Cedar Rapids to merge classroom theory with hands-on display design for avionics. You will join a team delivering hardware and software solutions for commercial and military applications, and you’ll contribute to engineering processes and product development.

The program runs January through July/August, with full-time weekday scheduling, and requires ongoing enrollment in an engineering degree with minimum 60 credit hours.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in engineering and enrolled through internship.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by internship start.
• Experience working on collaborative projects and teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Participate in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session spanning January to July/August.
• Engage in design and development of displays for Commercial and Military Avionics.
• Collaborate with engineers to merge theory with practical applications.
• Contribute to product design or development process improvements.
• Work with a team to tackle challenges and apply problem-solving skills.
