Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids is seeking an engineering co-op student for a full-time, Monday–Friday session running June through December. This mentorship-style role blends classroom theory with hands-on engineering in showpiece avionics displays for commercial and military applications.

You will learn about display technologies, engineering processes, and industry standards while collaborating with experienced engineers on real design challenges.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience working on collaborative projects and teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Join full-time, Monday–Friday co-op session running June–December; students may take a semester off to engage fully.
• Assist in design and development of displays for Commercial and Military Avionics; merge theory with practical engineering.
• Work with an outstanding team of engineers to tackle challenges and apply problem-solving skills in a hands-on environment.
• Create and/or implement changes to product design or development processes.
