Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking CNC Machinists for setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC lathes to produce aerospace components with precision. The role includes loading/unloading parts, in-process inspections, and documentation to ensure quality.

You may work under supervision or independently, with opportunities to mentor others and contribute to continuous improvement. Expect shifts on the 1st shift with potential weekend differential.

Qualifications

• 1 to 6+ years CNC lathe experience or equivalent
• Solid understanding of shop math
• Familiarity with computer functions and ERP systems
• Ability to read and write in English, including interpreting blueprints and technical documents
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsabilités

• Operate CNC machine equipment to meet production rate and quality standards.
• Load and unload materials and parts from machines.
• Perform routine machine upkeep, including chip removal and coolant maintenance.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Monitor machine and cutting conditions and report issues.
• Deburr and edge-break parts as needed.
• Set up machines by loading fixtures, tools, and programs and adjusting offsets.
• Operate multiple machines and apply SPC techniques.
• Perform basic CNC program operations and edit G Code when required.
• Design and set up complex tooling and part layouts.
• Train and mentor other machinists.
• Follow safety policies and 6S practices.
