Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to set up and run lathes for aerospace parts. You will work in a two or three person cell, perform setups, inspect parts, and document SPC data in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related manufacturing experience, with familiarity in FANUC controls and precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Experience with FANUC CNC control preferred.
• Strong measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine aerospace parts.
• Perform quality inspections and SPC data entry.
• Read blueprints and process sheets to determine setup and tolerances.
• Load/unload parts safely and operate material handling equipment.
• Document measurements and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and participate in continuous improvement.
