Precision Castparts in Tukwila, WA is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines used to produce aerospace components with tight tolerances. You will load and unload parts, inspect using calipers and micrometers, read blueprints, and adjust offsets to maintain accuracy.

Additionally, perform routine machine upkeep, mentor junior machinists, and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• 1 to 6+ years of CNC lathe experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Solid understanding of shop math.
• Familiarity with computer functions and ERP systems.
• Ability to read and write in English, including interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.

Aufgaben

• Operate CNC machine equipment to meet production rate and quality standards.
• Load and unload materials and parts from machines.
• Perform routine machine upkeep, including chip removal, surface cleaning, and maintaining coolant, oil, and lube levels.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, and other gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Monitor machine and cutting conditions, reporting issues to shift lead or supervisor.
• Deburr and edge-break parts as needed.
• Set up machines by loading fixtures, tools, and programs, and adjusting offsets.
• Operate multiple machines and apply SPC techniques.
• Perform basic CNC program operations; editing G Code may be required.
• Design and set up complex tooling and part layouts.
• Train and mentor other machinists.
• Follow safety policies and quality standards and 6S practices.
