Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking a Proposal Specialist / Marketing Specialist to lead DOT, county, and municipal pursuits in a hybrid setup with offices across Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, or West Virginia. You will translate technical depth into persuasive narratives and manage the full pursuit lifecycle from kickoff through shortlist interviews.

You will collaborate with engineers and business leaders, own content quality, and drive go/no-go decisions while developing reusable materials to accelerate

Qualifications

• 5+ years in proposal coordination, proposal management, or AEC marketing.
• Proven track record managing proposals to hard deadlines with multiple contributors
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite experience
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook proficiency
• Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end pursuit strategy, schedule, and content.
• Write and edit narratives, executive summaries, project descriptions, and staff resumes.
• Ensure RFP compliance and content accuracy before submission.
• Develop shortlist interview materials, presentations, and logistics.
• Maintain Deltek Vantagepoint data and improve reuse of content.
• Create service briefs, project profiles, and award submissions.
• Drive process improvements with templates and boilerplate content.
