Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist / Marketing Specialist to lead transportation and infrastructure pursuits from kickoff through shortlist interviews. This hybrid role is based out of our Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio or West Virginia offices, collaborating with engineers and business leaders to craft winning narratives.

You will own the pursuit strategy, schedule, and compliance, turning technical depth into a persuasive story and maintaining the process across complex

Qualifications

• 5+ years in proposal coordination, proposal management, or AEC marketing.
• Proven track record meeting hard deadlines with multiple contributors.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign or Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM.

Responsibilities

• Full pursuit lifecycle; kickoff through submission and shortlist interview.
• Lead mid-sized pursuits independently; support major and multi-firm efforts.
• RFP compliance; build the matrix and ensure all requirements are answered.
• Writing and editing narratives, executive summaries, project descriptions, and resumes.
• Shortlist interviews; develop presentations, materials, rehearsals, and logistics.
• Deltek Vantagepoint; keep data accurate and reusable.
• Marketing collateral; service briefs, project profiles, awards, and proposals.
• Process improvement; create content libraries and templates to raise quality and speed.
