Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division is seeking a Residential Services Director to oversee case management, ensure accurate intake review, assess client needs, and develop compliant case plans. You will act as a liaison to community resources, provide referrals, and arrange transportation for clients in Bloomington, IL.

Responsibilities include ensuring access to case management, meeting with clients regularly, guiding discharge planning, and maintaining records per DHS/HUD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field or five years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of homelessness or vulnerable population experience.
• Strong documentation, timely reporting, and compliance with program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management, assess client needs, and develop case plans.
• Liaise with community resources and referrals; arrange transportation.
• Ensure access to a case manager via appointments or walk-ins; first contact within 5 days.
• Meet with clients weekly; support discharge planning; document progress in HMIS.
• Maintain ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with DHS/HUD requirements.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and perform on-call coverage for Safe Harbor operations.
• Collaborate with outreach workers; develop job leads and track outcomes.
