Job summary

Republic Services in Oklahoma City seeks a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, chassis, refuse bodies, and related systems, under supervision from a Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities include diagnosing multi-system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and safely providing road service as needed. Training and growth opportunities accompany a stable shift in a leading fleet.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience diagnosing multi-system truck equipment.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with Classes 1-8 trucks or graduation from automotive program within the next 3 months.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems; performs preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Heating and air conditioning.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provides road service when necessary to ensure equipment is returned to operation safely.
• Identifies malfunction sources using electronic tools.
• Completes company training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
