Job summary

Republic Services in Stillwater, OK is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment across our fleet. Under supervision, you will work on chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and brakes, with exposure to welding and fabrication.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with road service as needed, and develop skills through on‑the‑job training.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with strong technical expertise.
• Experience with light/medium/heavy-duty trucks (Classes 1–8).
• ASE certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3–5 years in a technician role or nearing graduation from automotive college/tech school.

Responsibilities

• Maintain repair on chassis components and refuse bodies.
• Repair hydraulic and electrical, and air/brake systems.
• Light engine repair and general maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering maintenance.
• Welding and fabrication; provide safe road service when needed.

Education

Automotive tech school or college program near completion within 3 months
