Job summary

Republic Services in Ogden, UT is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, HVAC, and drive trains. The role supports drivers on routes and ensures equipment readiness.

Responsibilities include on-site and road maintenance, line welding, and troubleshooting with electronic tools. ASE certifications and a CDL are a plus. Training and career growth are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience maintaining Class 1-8 trucks or equivalent equipment.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies.
• Repair air and hydraulic braking systems and control systems.
• Perform light engine work and HVAC maintenance.
• Conduct line welding and fabrication as needed.
• Provide on-road road service safely and efficiently.
• Complete required company training programs.
• Operate with strict safety and quality standards.
