Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC components. Responsibilities include on-site and on-road maintenance, line welding, and diagnosing multi-system issues using electronic tools.
The role requires 3–5 years in a technician position or technical training from an automotive college, plus a valid driver's license. ASE T1–T8 and CDL are a plus.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Prior experience with maintenance on trucks or heavy equipment; automotive college/tech school graduates welcome.
Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems.
- Repair and maintenance of chassis, refuse bodies, braking, hydraulics, engine, HVAC, suspension, and drive train.
- Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication as needed.
- Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.
- Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
