Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, and HVAC components. You will diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative work, and provide on-road service as needed.

The role involves working with a technically advanced fleet, training in new technologies, and opportunities for career growth within a stable industry.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical proficiency.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1-8 trucks or graduating from an automotive program.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, air/brake systems, engine, HVAC, suspension, driveline and steering.
• Perform line welding and fabrication as needed and provide safe road service.
