Qualifications

• High level analytical ability to obtain images and measurements.
• Ability to interpret sonograms and communicate a preliminary diagnosis to the physician.
• Mentoring and teaching students and new staff.
• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Flexibility to staff various locations and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously performs advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient care (abdominal, vascular, small parts, OB/GYN).
• Assists in complex invasive procedures and intraoperative cases with a team approach.
• Communicates a preliminary clinical diagnosis to the physician.
• Identifies imaging orders for accuracy and tailors exams to patient needs.
• Maintains QA, equipment, and department accreditation.
• Mentors and teaches students and staff.
• Staffing flexibility includes on-call and holiday coverage.
• Engages in research and innovation studies.
• Fosters teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect.
