Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Sonographer to autonomously perform high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging across outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and small parts. The role includes assisting in complex procedures and communicating preliminary findings to physicians.

Qualified candidates will have ARDMS registration or registry eligibility, preferably with 1 year of experience and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program and/or ARDMS registered or registry eligible.
• One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• ARDMS registration in Abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT or registry eligible within Mayo employment timeline.
• BLS certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality, advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings (abdominal, vascular, small parts, OB/GYN).
• Assist in complex invasive procedures and intraoperative cases with a team approach.
• Interpret sonograms with independent judgment and communicate preliminary clinical findings to physicians.

Education

Associate degree or higher

ARDMS registered in Abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT

ARDMS registered or registry eligible in Abdomen, Obgyn, RVT within 18 months

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
