Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking an experienced Sonographer to autonomously perform high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging across outpatient and inpatient settings. Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program and ARDMS registered or registry eligible.
• One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• ARDMS registered in abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT within 18 months of Mayo employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously performs high quality, advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assists in complex invasive procedures with a team approach.
• Interprets sonograms and communicates preliminary clinical diagnoses to physicians.
• Identifies imaging orders and tailors exams to patient needs based on history and symptoms.
• Maintains infection control, sterile technique, and procedural documentation.
• Participates in research, QA, and equipment maintenance; supports department accreditation.
