Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a skilled Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound in outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdominal, vascular, and OB/GYN exams. You will assist in complex procedures, synthesize findings, and communicate preliminary diagnoses to physicians.

The role requires ARDMS certification or eligibility, an accredited sonography education, and BLS within 90 days. Schedule includes varied shifts with opportunities for research involvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program and/or ARDMS registered or registry eligible.
• ARDMS registered or registry eligible in abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN) and vascular technology (RVT).
• BLS certification within 90 days of start date.
• One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• Associate degree or above preferred.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously performs high quality, advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdominal, vascular, and OB/GYN exams.
• Assists in complex invasive procedures and intraoperative cases with a team approach.
• Interprets sonograms with independent judgment and communicates preliminary clinical findings to the physician.
• Identifies imaging orders for accuracy and tailors exam protocols to patient needs.
• Participates in research, QA, and maintains department accreditation.
