Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing, supervise licensed and non-licensed staff, and ensure high-quality resident care. The ADON will act as DON in their absence and oversee infection control, staff development, and safety programs.

You will coordinate orientation, training, competency evaluations, and align with MDH regulations and Residents’ Bill of Rights while promoting a positive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be a Minnesota-licensed RN with knowledge and interest in safety, infection prevention, disaster preparedness, and teaching staff.
• Flexible hours, ability to work independently, and proficiency with basic computer tasks.
• Preferred healthcare or skilled nursing experience with multi-tasking and resilience.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills for diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing and supervise licensed and non-licensed staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Act as DON in the Director of Nursing's absence and oversee training, orientation, and competency evaluations.
• Coordinate infection control, staff safety programs, and incident surveillance and reporting.
• Assist with policy development, resident/family engagement, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide nursing care as needed and maintain confidentiality and a positive workplace culture.
