Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management in Minnesota is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading licensed and non-licensed staff and ensuring quality care for residents.

The ADON will oversee occupational health, infection control, staff development, orientation, audits, and data collection, promoting safety and continuous improvement while collaborating with leadership and committees.

Qualifications

Must be a registered nurse currently licensed by the State of Minnesota.
Interest in safety regulations, accident prevention, disaster preparedness, microorganisms, infection prevention and control measures.
Interest in teaching both professional and non-professional staff.
Must have basic computer competencies or be willing to attend training to attain competency.
Must be flexible with working hours and possess the ability to work independently.
Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must qualify for employment after criminal background check per Minnesota DHS guidelines.

Responsibilities

Assist the DON in directing activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel to ensure quality resident care.
Oversee occupational health, infection control, and staff development functions.
Coordinate surveillance, data collection, incident reports, and safety/quality committees.
Promote staff education through orientation, training, competency evaluations, and audits.
