Monarch Healthcare Management in Bloomington is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the DON in directing care for residents in a skilled nursing/assisted living setting. The ADON oversees occupational health, staff development, and infection control while ensuring safety and quality for both residents and staff.

You will maintain records, coordinate incident reporting, and lead training, audits, and preceptorships to promote knowledge, skills, and aptitude among staff,

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse, currently licensed by the State of Minnesota.
• Must have interest in safety regulations, accident prevention, disaster preparedness, microorganisms, infection, prevention, and control measures.
• Must have interest in teaching both professional and non-professional staff.
• Must have basic computer competencies or be willing to attend training to attain competency.
• Must be flexible with working hours and possesses the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in directing the activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel to ensure quality care for residents.
• Oversee, facilitate, and manage occupational health and staff development functions within the facility alongside a Clinical Educator.
• Coordinate infection control, employee injury management, and health programs for staff and residents.
• Maintain surveillance, records, data collection, and assessment; report to Safety/Infection Control/QA committees.
• Promote staff development through orientation, hands-on training, competency evaluations, and audits.
