Job summary

LongTerm Healthcare is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our skilled nursing facility leadership team. The ADON will lead clinical operations, mentor staff, and partner with the DON to ensure high-quality resident care on every shift.

The role emphasizes hands-on floor leadership, strong communication, and regulatory readiness, with a focus on fostering a positive nursing culture and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute settings.
• Supervisory or leadership experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON with overall management of the nursing department.
• Provide clinical leadership to RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Monitor daily nursing operations and resident care.
• Conduct rounds and remain visible to residents and staff.
• Support regulatory compliance and survey readiness.
• Mentor nursing staff and coordinate care planning.
• Collaborate with MDS, therapy, dietary, social services, and others.
