Administrative Specialist II / Driver Services Specialist II - 172690

This position is located in the Driver Records/Suspensions Unit - Headquarters- Blythewood, SC.

Responsibilities of the Driver Services Specialist II

  1. Process E-Citation, Mandatories/Points/ violations to the driver file daily. Traffic Tickets, Affidavits, Warrants, Indictments and Paper tickets are added to the file daily.
  2. Verify information on E-Citation and paper tickets to determine whether they need to be returned to court.
  3. Receive and process suspension notices that are returned undelivered.
  4. Prepare documents for scanning.
  5. Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.

Agency Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

  1. Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  3. Proficient in basic computer skills.
  4. Works in a general office environment. May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week.
  5. Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs.
  6. The work requires sitting for long prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal.

Preferred Qualifications:

Agency Preferred
A high school diploma and two (2) years related job experience.
