Job Title: Administrative Specialist II

The Agency's mission is to be boldly innovative in improving the health and quality of life for South Carolinians.

This position is located in the Localized Eligibility Processing (LEP) Region 2, Richland County.

Are you the One?

We are seeking an Administrative Specialist II who, under the supervision of the Eligibility Manager, will perform routine and complex administrative duties independently. Responsibilities include managing inquiries, paperwork, scheduling meetings, and handling calendars and travel arrangements. The role also involves supporting staff meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and creating spreadsheets or presentations.

  • Support administrative functions for the region, fostering an efficient and professional work environment. Act as a liaison with Human Resources, staffing vendors, and other agency partners.
  • Maintain a complex calendar for the Eligibility Manager, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and organize travel arrangements.
  • Assist with promoting workforce engagement and support leadership in maintaining an effective organizational team, adhering to policies, practices, and regulations, including EEOC standards.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and furniture needs, including requisitions and inventory. Serve as a backup for creating shopping carts and processing requisitions within the region.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions, complete tasks promptly, and support emergency duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma and relevant clerical or administrative experience are required. A bachelor's degree may substitute for experience.
