Northampton Community College is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Counseling Department. This part-time role covers 28 hours per week (M, Th, F 12/12:30pm-5pm & T, W 12pm-6pm) to support daily office operations on campus.
The ideal candidate will handle document production, phone screening, visitor greeting, file management, appointment scheduling and travel arrangements with strong confidentiality and professional communication.

Responsible to the immediate supervisor(s) for performance of assigned responsibilities.
Performance in this position is considered satisfactory when: (1) responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level that ensures efficient and effective support to all people she/he supports.
(1) Education: (a) High school diploma, associate degree preferred; (b) any combination of training or experience which would facilitate the performance of the above responsibilities. (2) Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: (a) proficient in College standard software including knowledge of MSWord/Excel/Access software, accurate keyboarding; (b) excellent interpersonal skills with a high degree of confidentiality required; c) ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize work; (d) good oral and written communication skills; (e) ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions; (f) accurate keyboarding skills necessary. (3) Experience: Minimum of three years' experience with demonstrated competency to perform the duties involved, preferably in a public oriented position.
